Book Review – Scarlet Angel

Scarlet Angel is book three in the Mindf*ck series by S.T. Abby, and I CANNOT BELIEVE THE START OF THIS BOOK!!!!

This book literally starts with Hadley figuring out what and who Lana is.  We know as the reader that unless Hadley poses a threat to Lana, she isn’t going to kill her.  I am so amazed.

Then, as if the author was like “that isn’t good enough, lets make this book better” the way Lana takes down a serial killer that Logan has been after.  She dresses him down, takes away his pride, is never afraid of him.  And then, she killed him with his own knife!  Yes, I was singing the song “he ran into my knife.  He ran into my knife ten times” very dramatically once I read this.  Now you may be asking, what else could this author do to add a twist to this already twist situation?

HADLEY WAS IN A CLOSET TIED UP WATCHING THE ENTIRE THING!  Hadley is terrified and you spend the time with her, in her point of view while she watched Lana destroy the serial killer.  And as you read you are praying Hadley will not say anything to anyone about what Lana is doing.

As this book series continues, my desperation for Logan to find out what is going on, is growing.  I just need him to know.  It is making me anxious, and I am sure the author did that on purpose.  But I want him to know.

The third book in the series has so many twists and turns.  It takes a lot to shock me in a book and more, and if I hadn’t been reading this at like eleven o’clock at night with my husband sleeping next to me, I probably would have gasped out loud and frantically told him everything that was happening.

Overall – I am fairly confident the author is going to kill me by the end of this series because every time I think it cannot get better, it does.
