Book Review – Sidetracked

Sidetracked is book two in the Mindf*ck series by S.T. Abby, and if I am 100% honest with you, f*ck this series and f*ck this book for being so f*cking good.

Obviously after I finished the first book I dove into this book with all the grace of hair stuck in a wind tunnel. I probably would have finished it quicker if I could have somehow stuck my eyelids open.

The larges issue I have with this book is how short it is.  Because it is approximately 100 pages long and I NEED MORE.  The twists and turns in this book were so chaotic and when you get to the end you are stunned and praying that she can get out of.

Logan and Lana’s relationship is picking up and getting more serious, and I am so anxious.  Because we know she is the killer he is after.  We know what she is tying to do.  We also know that he is desperately trying to catch her.  Part of me cannot wait for him to find out, and part of me is fine with waiting because I don’t know that it can end well for either of them.

While this is an overarching romance book series, I love how the author is taking the time to develop the side characters and their relationships.  Hadley works with Logan in the FBI and she has a dark past and some dark secrets that she is desperate to stay hidden.  Lana finds out what happens and extracts revenge for Hadley, and then makes sure Hadley stays safe.  Hadley who does not trust her, Hadley who is going out of her way to prove Lana is a bad person.  I personally cannot wait to see where the author takes the relationship between these two individuals.

Overall – This book was so short, and I am still a bit mad at the author for the cliff hanger.  Yes, the next book is published, and that’s great.  But it doesn’t stop the heart pounding moment of not knowing what is happening.
