I wanted to take a moment to talk about my ranking system so everyone would be incredibly clear on what each rank means.

Obviously, the five star system (or in this instance the five Mipha’s) is not a new system, but the way each star works varies from platform to platform. 

So here is a breakdown, of what each of the rankings means on my site.

0 Mipha’s

If I give something 0, it means I truly hated it, and I could not in good conscience recommend it to anyone ever.  It also means I could barely find anything constructive about it, and had major problems with this works.  This rating will also be for all books that I DNF*

1 Mipha

If I give something a 1, it means I did not like it, but I was able to finish it, and move on with my day.  This typically means I didn’t like the characters, or the plot, or something was majorly wrong with it.   I might have found one or two redeeming qualities within it, but those were vastly overshadowed by how bad I thought the book was.

2 Mipha

If I give a book a 2, it typically means the book was ok, with some redeeming qualities but overall I either wasn’t a big fan, or there was something wrong itself with the book.  This could be grammatical issues, plot holes, or anything else like that. 

3 Mipha

If I give a book a 3 that means I liked the book.  It wasn’t the best book in the world, I am not going to rave about it to everyone I know, but it was a decent book with a captivating story.

4 Mipha

If I give a book a 4, that means the book was incredibly good.  I really enjoyed the story and the character, and I couldn’t wait to see where it went next.  I would recommend this book to people that I thought might be interested.

5 Mipha

If I give a book a 5, that means I loved it.  I would read the book again, would talk about it to anyone who would listen to me, and I am eagerly waiting for the next book by the author.  It means the plot was incredible, the characters were well thoughts out, and the book is amazing!

Things of Note:

1. Books I did not finish (DNF)*
   • All books that I did not finish will automatically get a 0, because I cannot fully judge the book I did not read.  Why I did not finish the book, and anything I have of note will be discussed in the review I post.  These will be clearly labeled as DNF in the review title.
2. There are a lot of people that if a book is 3 stars or below they will not post the review.  That is not the case here on my site.  All rankings will be posted honestly, at a 0-5 scale.  If a review is posted, I will NOT remove it, or adjust it unless the book in question has been rewritten or drastically changed.  In that instance I will request a new copy of the book, and will do a new review on it. 
3. This ranking has changes as I have continued to review books, and when I first started reading and reviewing I was much more lax with my ratings.  I am not going to go back and fix those previous books rankings, as that was how I felt at the time.  Going forward, starting 3/9/2023, this is how the ranking system will go.   If there are any updates, I will post them here.
4. If you choose to quote my review for your own personal use, that is fine. I do ask that you link to my page so other have the opportunity to read the entire review.
